xp to 7 Force to upgrade XP?

We  know that – problems with new laptops and old systems… Marketing practice. But now? Hard drives coming out starting January 2011 will have a new formatting standard that will make them less compatible with XP, and will result in performance slowdowns. All major systems (Vista, 7, Linux and OS X) support new formatting system… But not XP!!

New formatting system will be 10 percent more efficient on compatible systems, but on XP it will be 10 percent less efficient.

The new formatting standard, promulgated by the International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association (Idema), which all hard drive makers have committed to adopting, is a 4K block. Besides an eight-fold reduction of the amount of unused space, this standard doubles the amount of error correction per block. Hard drive makers can squeeze out more storage capacity on the same size hardware. With frozen in time XP it is only matter of time…

Upgrade as soon as You can.
